Home Remodeler tears down Motel to build new!
As a home remodeler in the New Bern area – we’re used to working in existing homes, but this new home build actually began as a Motel. From motel to cleared land to a new home – check out how it went down!
Back in March of 2022 we started tearing down the old Trent Motel in Pollocksville, NC. The Trent Motel had seen better days and had not been restored after flooding from Hurricane Florence in 2018, so even though the Motel was such a great memory for so many in its heyday, it had to go.
Dirtworks took care of taking down the building piece by piece for us and getting the site cleaned up and ready for a new build. We actually had 2 new builds – but that’ll be a post for another day.
This home features vinyl siding, paintable shutters painted in Farrow & Ball Pigeon and brass hardware. We love the way it turned out. Stay tuned for photos of the inside!
